  1. This is spot on – for me, the understanding of this reward mechanism that has driven my porn use has been the primary factor in my drive to quit. When I get an urge to watch porn now, I just remember that the urge is only there because I’ve accidentally taught my brain to overly desire it. Even though resisting while horny is surprisingly difficult and the urge is surprisingly strong, I get a sense of satisfaction knowing that I am now re-wiring my brain the right way.
